Hey Waleska! I love your question about which skills are most important for the 21st century - this is basically what our class is about! Great way to get them to think about English as something relevant and current, and not something stuck in Shakespeare's time! :P Awesome theme as well!
I really like the last question because it will allow the teacher to know what various types of media the students want to learn with. It is interesting to ask students what literacy means to them. I feel you will recieve a number of traditional responses, perhaps not! Either way this is a good diagnostic of what they think literacy is and is something that should be addressed in a conversation in the classroom.
